I also understand that if my original degree certificate which has been lost, if put to any unfair use by the person who may lay on it, shall stand for the damages which may accrue from such use.

Important Instructions



a)   Theformshould be filledin legiblyandsigned bythestudent.

b)   Duplicate certificate shall not beissued unlessthis formisdullyfilledin.

c)   The form should be attested by a Gazetted Officer/concerned authority, or else it will be rejected.

d)   Mention correct Sender’s address with Pin Code. The Senate will not be responsible for any damage/loss/missing/late delivery of any documents within India or abroad, caused by any eventuality.

e)   The Duplicate Certificate Fee is Rs.2000/-(Revised Fee is Rs.2500/- effected from 1st June 2015)*

f)   The Requisition Form should be sent with the fee as applicable.

g)   All fees should be paid by Bank Demand Draft drawn in favor of: The Registrar,Senate of Serampore College, Serampore. Do not write anything other than this.

h)   Demand Draft should be Payable atSerampore or Kolkata.

i)   Fees once paid,shall not be refund/adjust.

j)   Duplicate certificate will be issued on the submission of Original affidavitsigned by a first class Judicial Magistrate,togetherwiththe Original FIR lodged with the nearest Police Station to this effect by the candidate on the grounds that either the original certificate has been irrecoverably lost/destroyed/defaced,and on payment of the fee prescribed.

k)   Duplicate certificate shall be issued ONCE ONLY.
